HTMX + Mustache with a service worker fetching external data and rendering HTML from a template. Fun? Practical? You decide!
Being sick is not fun...
Why is charging my devices always so damned inconsistent?
Hey, @[email protected] I know you're busy and everything, but I just had an idea: Webhooks for /now and profile pages (so I can push the changes to my personal static website, or set up my own nudges, or whatever)
So, I've re-jiggered my website *again*, and moved away from Ghost, back to 11ty, with a Friendica instance along for the ride...
I'm considering how to add some of the more social elements of omg.lol to the app... For example, IRC.
Surely users will be better served by the chat.omg.lol PWA, so there's little point building anything in, right?
Why can't apps just be. Why should I have to submit an update to the app store if it still works fine?
Umm... Third time's a charm?
It turns out it did not work properly the first time, but after some debugging, it looks like we should be good to go now. I just need to double-check...
So... If I've got this set up right, this status.lol post should appear both on my website at https://death.id.au and be pushed out to the fediverse via my Friendica instance, also on https://death.id.au... ๐ค
G'day neighbours! It's been a while...
But I wanted to share that version 1.0.0 of Neighbourhood.omg.lol is live on the Google Play Store! If you're already using the app, there are no major changes. If you're not though, it's a great time to jump on board! Statuses, pics, pastes and all that good omg.lol stuff is here and easily accessible.
Any feedback? Shoot me a message: [email protected]

Is it time...?
#Finch. What is it about this particular app that has allowed me to stick with it when I chop and change between so many others?
This is my KBDCraft 60% typewriter.
Built from a Kit Lilith, with pieces from case Adam, along with some purchased parts and some I just had lying around. Plus some round "typewriter" keycaps from AliExpress.
It's also mostly hollow, so theoretically I could install a small PC like a Raspberry Pi or a NUC in there. But for now, it's good to use with a tablet.
Getting back into playing Pokรฉmon on my old DS lite. Enjoying it much more than I thought I would.
Was going to Ghost the right choice for me? I thought it was a good move. My website, blog, and Fediverse presence are all on the same platform and all on the same domain. But it's not quite what I wanted...
Short answer: It continues to be available. Once, when I was young, in the early nineties, the Internet was just starting to take off. I didn't have it at my house just yet, but I did have it at school. And my cousin had it. She told me I needed to sign up for an email address and helped me set up an account with a service called Hotmail. The first step was to choose a name, as using your real name was not a good idea (there could be predators on the Internet, or so I was told).
What am I up to these days?
